Wild Ginger Noodle Bar: Authentic Asian Fusion Dining in Asheville

Absolutely love this place! It’s owned and operated by the kindest people, and the food is incredible. Hands down the best pho I’ve ever had. Service is quick, everything is fresh, and the staff is genuinely friendly. I can’t wait to come back—easily one of the best restaurants in Asheville.

We have lived in the Asheville area for about a year, but I can't recall how many times we have gone to Wild Ginger! It is so delicious and fresh. Our favorites are the chicken yakisoba noodles and the chicken katsu sandwich (the sweet potato fries are amazing too!). They also have a house made chili paste/sauce that is so tasty.

I eat at quite a few different pho restaurants. Recently, I have been ordering from another place often. This place is better. I had fresh cold spring rolls with pork amd shrimp with a peanut sauce. I thought they were mid. I ordered the beef bahn mi sandwich with sweet potato fries, and a medium rare beef pho. The bahn mi was outstanding and I ate all the fries whoch were cooked amd seasoned perfectly. The marinated beef stood out with pickled veggies, cilantro, and jalapeño for spice. It had a mayo like spread. The pho was really good. The broth was stronger, more rich with flavor than others I have had with a sweetness coming through the beef broth. There were plenty of noodles and fresh veggies to add to the soup. Over all very good as always.

Seems like a small family-run restaurant. It was quite busy when we arrived — probably a good sign of popularity. Be ready to wait a bit to be seated since the place is small. Service feels unstructured — everyone seems to be doing everything, so food takes a while. Food itself is good overall — nothing extraordinary, but nothing to complain about either. Tap water had a noticeable tube-like odor; filtered water would be a big improvement. Desserts were surprisingly good.

Came here for the first time yesterday seeking some decent pork steamed dumplings. These did not disappoint!! They were some of the best and most flavorful dumplings I’ve had in years. The sauce was crisp and tangy with freshly diced ginger and garlic. I’ll be back - the food was excellent!

Pho with FLAVOR! And all the accompaniments that are necessary for enjoying your Pho. They also have some really tasty Satay with a tasty papaya salad. Super quick service with a smile! They are a clean and well prepared establishment.

We had a delicious meal at Wild Ginger. We ordered the veggie spring rolls, tofu and mixed vegetables in curry sauce, and pho B3. All had great flavor, generous portion sizes, and were served very quickly. All the wait staff were also very kind and helpful.

@Aug.2025 Weekday lunch, there were full but no line. I ordered chicken pho, and it came quickly. Taste was delicious. I took a small pho, the portion was not big enough, I should’ve taken a big one. The price is slightly higher.
